There are 15 different kinds of crane species in the world, and 10 are endangered. To save endangered cranes, the International Crane Foundation trains people to wear crane costumes. A baby crane treats the first thing it sees as a parent, a process called “imprinting.” People dressed like cranes can imitate motherly movements and nurture the young to life.
